U.S. Soccer announced the newest USWNT camp roster, including everyone from the 2012 Olympic team except Amy LePeilbet, who is still fighting a knee injury. The roster (mostly) will be playing the upcoming friendlies against Scotland in February.
Sermanni will pick his upcoming Algarve Cup roster from this camp as well.
Below is the roster by position (via U.S. Soccer)
I’ll be interested how he works these younger players into the roster and hopefully into games at some point. I totally missed that Tobin Heath (Paris Saint-Germain) was now playing overseas (for now), as well as Megan Rapinoe (Lyon). Note that Ali Kreiger, who was hurt prior to the 2012 Olympics is back in the rotations after another solid run in Germany, hopefully solidifying that somewhat shaky back line.
What do you think of the camp roster?
